Recent research studies report that Maine's laptop initiative helped to improve student writing skills. You can read more about this research here: http://www.usm.maine.edu/cepare/Impact_on_Student_Writing_Brief.pdf http://www.k12blueprint.com/k12/blueprint/story_good_news_from_maine_about_the_impact_of_laptops_on_writing_skills.php What changes have you seen in your students at your school if you have laptop programs currently in place? Are the paradigms of teaching and learning changing? Have you seen positive results educationally? And, on the other hand, have you seen any academic problems related to laptop utilization? I can't imagine teaching and/or learning any other way, but I'd love to hear what others think or have learned!
